Tiny Troopers is one of our beginner teams perfect for young children looking for something new! The age of this team is 3-5 years and the emphasis is on learning basic cheerleading fundamentals in a fun and positive environment.
Program/Team Details
The Tiny Troopers are part of our CheerStars program. CheerStars is specifically for beginners new to the sport of Allstar Cheerleading. Our aim is to provide an introduction to all the skills of Allstar Cheer, but in a low pressure, relaxed environment.
CheerStars teams do not require the high degree of commitment to training that our Allstar teams require and they only train once a week which helps when organising around your child's other sports and activities. CheerStars teams also get to experience the thrill of performing at the end of each season at either the Showoffs, Showcase or at a Melbourne competition, but are not required to purchase an expensive uniform.
The Tiny Troopers class is great as an introduction to cheer, gymnastics tumbling and dance. The main focus is to learn a range of new cheer skills including stunting, dance and tumbling through games and fun activities.
Team Schedule
Tiny Troopers train once a week. Squad training is a total of 1 hour a week where the kids learn how to jump, do basics stunts and dance. Along with their squad training, they also get to learn skills like cartwheels, round-offs and forward rolls.
Training Times:
Training times for the Tiny Troopers are Thursdays 4:30 - 5:30pm.
Season Schedule:
CheerStars teams have half year seasons, with 2 seasons per year (season 1 is Feb - June, Season 2 is July - December).
Training weeks and schedules are similar to the Victorian school terms but please check the information pack calendar or with the office for specific dates.
